Paarl, South Africa — Brookdale Estate has announced the release of its latest collection of wines, headlined by two exciting new additions to its portfolio: the estate’s first-ever Grenache Noir and an extremely limited-production Grenache Blanc, with fewer than 1,000 bottles produced.
The new releases also include the Brookdale Chenin Blanc 2024 Old Vine, Bradbourne 2025 Estate White Blend, Sixteen 2025 White Field Blend, and Twenty 2025 Red Field Blend, further showcasing Brookdale’s commitment to expressing the unique character of its vineyards through thoughtful viticulture and minimal-intervention winemaking.

According to Brookdale winemaker Xander Sadie, the 2025 growing season delivered exceptional conditions across the estate.
“The 2025 vintage was outstanding for Brookdale,” says Sadie. “Beneficial late-season rainfall and a long, gradual ripening period created ideal conditions for vineyard development and flavour concentration. We are delighted with the quality and character of the wines produced from this vintage.”
At the heart of Brookdale’s winemaking philosophy is a desire to capture the authentic identity of the estate through a combination of field blends, estate blends, and carefully selected single-varietal wines.
“Our long-term vision is to showcase Brookdale through the most honest expression of our vineyards and winemaking. Each wine is crafted to reflect the farm in its purest form, whether through our field blends, estate blends, or the individual varietals that best express the site.”
This philosophy is reflected in the release of the fifth vintage of the Sixteen White Field Blend and the second vintage of the Twenty Red Field Blend, both of which continue to highlight the diversity and complexity of Brookdale’s vineyards.
The estate’s single-varietal offerings now include the established Old Vine Chenin Blanc and the newly introduced Grenache Noir, while the estate blend range currently features the Bradbourne Estate White Blend, with an estate red blend still under development.
One of the most anticipated releases is the inaugural Brookdale Grenache Blanc, a wine produced in exceptionally limited quantities.
“The 2025 vintage marks the first release of Brookdale Grenache Blanc,” says Sadie. “Due to the extremely small production, this wine will not become part of our permanent range. It will be available exclusively to Brookdale Wine Club members and guests dining at the Bistro at Brookdale.”
The wine will not be distributed through retail channels, making it one of the estate’s rarest releases to date.
Looking ahead, Sadie says Brookdale intends to continue exploring small-batch bottlings from individual vineyard blocks and lesser-known varieties grown on the farm.
“We are fortunate to have a diverse range of grape varieties planted across the estate, many of which are not commonly bottled on their own. In vintages where a particular variety truly shines, we aim to produce limited releases that allow wine lovers to explore these expressions alongside us. These wines offer valuable insight into how individual varieties perform as standalone wines, contribute to blends, and develop over time.”
Brookdale wines are available for tasting and purchase at the estate’s tasting room and can be enjoyed at the Bistro at Brookdale, as well as at selected restaurants and fine wine retailers locally and internationally. Wines are also available through Brookdale’s online store.
