Durbanville Hills and Nederburg lead an exceptional medal haul at Germany’s prestigious European wine competition.
HEINEKEN Beverages has earned top honours after being named Best Producer at the 2026 MUNDUS VINI Summer Tasting in Germany. The recognition highlights an extraordinary showing across its wine portfolio, with Nederburg, Durbanville Hills, and Zonnebloem collectively awarded a grand gold, alongside numerous gold and silver medals.
The results showcase the remarkable depth and consistency of the group’s winemaking expertise across diverse styles and price points.
Key Highlights & Top Accolades
- Nederburg: Delivered one of the competition’s standout individual achievements, with the 2025 Nederburg The Winemasters Noble Late Harvest receiving Grand Gold and named Best of Show South Africa – Noble Sweet. Nederburg also secured three Gold medals for its 2024 Double Barrel Reserve Bordeaux-Style Red Blend, 2024 The Winemasters Shiraz, and 2025 The Winemasters Chardonnay, in addition to three Silver medals.
- Durbanville Hills: Continued its strong performance across sparkling, white, and red ranges, capturing four Gold medals—for the 2022 Methode Cap Classique Chardonnay Blanc de Blancs, 2025 Collectors’ Reserve The Cableway Chardonnay, 2025 Collectors’ Reserve The Cape Mist Sauvignon Blanc, and 2026 Chenin Blanc—along with nine Silver medals.
- Zonnebloem: Added to the tally with a Silver medal for the 2022 Zonnebloem Lauréat Bordeaux-style red blend.
