Bonnievale Wines have received notable recognition at the inaugural Rosé Wine and Spirit Challenge, standing out for their exceptional quality. The Vale Cinsault Rosé Brut and The River Collection Cinsault Rosé 2022 both secured Gold medals in this esteemed competition.
Marthinus Rademeyer, Chief Winemaker at Bonnievale Wines, expressed his appreciation for the latest accolades received by their “Cinsault sisters.” He emphasized the remarkable versatility of Cinsault wines, highlighting their delightful enjoyment when served chilled, particularly on warm and sunny days.
The Rosé Challenge, which marked its debut, attracted a diverse array of around 130 wine and spirit entries. The competition was orchestrated by The Awards Show, which also manages renowned events such as the Lumo Awards (formerly known as the SA Women’s Wine and Spirit Awards) and Vitis Vinifera Awards. Esteemed judges, including Cape Wine Masters Dr. Caroline Snyman and Dr. Winifred Bowman, evaluated the entries for the Rosé Challenge.
Marthinus Rademeyer highlighted that these medals not only contribute to Bonnievale’s growing collection of accolades but also provide wine enthusiasts with valuable guidance on their journey to discover new and exciting wines.
The River Collection Cinsault Rosé 2022 embodies pure delight. Characterized by its invigorating dryness, the wine follows the style typical of Southern France. Its light, aromatic, and refreshing qualities make it a swift choice for a second glass. The wine’s appeal is as swift as saying “magnifique!”
The Vale Cinsault Brut Rosé offers a succulent and slightly off-dry sparkling experience suitable for any occasion. Its delicate stream of pearl-like bubbles captivates the senses, complemented by the lush aromas of strawberries and cherries. The palate is also graced by wild berry flavors, accompanied by a crisp and poised character that instantly entices.
