Experience the best of Stellenbosch wine in Johannesburg with winemakers, winery owners, and key ambassadors visiting the City of Gold next month. Tickets for two exclusive events in Sandton and Soweto on June 10 and 11 are now on sale.
Dubbed the Stellenbosch Experience, these unmissable events offer the chance to taste exceptional wines from 50 producers and meet the makers themselves. Featured guests include Nongcebo Langa of Delheim Wine Estate, Danie Steytler from Kaapzicht Wine Estate, Ntsiki Biyela of Aslina Wines, Bertho van der Westhuizen from Alto Wine Estate, Narina Cloete from Blaauwklippen Estate, and many more.
This is your opportunity to learn everything about South Africa’s most awarded wine region in an informal and friendly setting. Both events feature a walk-around tasting with canapés.
For those keen on a deeper dive into wine, a special two-hour masterclass on June 10, led by Dr. Jonathan Steyn, will explore the relationship between Stellenbosch’s soil, climate, and wine quality. Dr. Steyn is a leading figure in a project examining what makes Stellenbosch unique and how its terroir shapes the region’s wine profile. Seats for the masterclass are very limited and must be booked separately.
“We’re thrilled about this visit to Johannesburg. It’s not just an opportunity to share our stories but also a celebration of culture and taste. From Sandton to Soweto, the refined elegance of Stellenbosch’s wine tradition meets the vibrant soul of Johannesburg,” says Stellenbosch Wine Routes manager Elmarie Rabe. “We also hope to encourage visitors to explore Stellenbosch, especially during our annual wine festival in August.”
